1.5 Million HD Radioâ„¢ Chips Shipped To Date

Columbia, Maryland – October 8, 2008iBiquity Digital Corporation, the developer of digital HD Radio™ technology for AM and FM audio and data broadcasting, announced today that over 1.5 million HD Radio chipsets have been shipped. Many of the world’s top chip makers are building HD Radio chipsets. Leading the way are Texas Instruments (DRI200, DRI250, DRI302, DRI352 processors) and NXP (3550 and 3555). These chips have been sent to such module suppliers as ACE Dixxio, Kensen, Kiryung, Kwang Sung Electronics, LG Innotek, Powertech, Samsung EM, TOKO and Wistron NeWeb Corporation, whose products are on more than 12,000 retail shelves across the United States.

Texas Instruments (DRI4xx processor) and NXP (3560) continue innovating and designing next generation chips. And, as the adoption of HD Radio technology expands,new chip makers are developing HD Radio chips, including Samsung, SiPort and STMicroelectronics.
