iBiquity Digital Corporation Pre-Certifies the ALPS TDGA6 STMicroelectronics Module

Hong Kong Electronics Fair, April 13, 2010 – iBiquity Digital Corporation, the developer of digital HD Radio Technology for AM and FM audio and data broadcasting, announced today that ALPS Electric has submitted to iBiquity Digital Corporation the TDGA6 STMicroelectronics STA680 module and has received pre-certification.

The ALPS TDGA6 is the first STMicroelectronics based module that’s available for OEM and Aftermarket Automotive integrating analog and HD Radio reception. The module consists of the RF frontend (TDA7706), HD Radio Decoder IC (STA680). The module has AM/FM support and supports I2C. The module has 1M Byte Flash and 8M Byte SDRAM. The module meets automotive temperature specifications of -40°C to +85°C. The size of the module is 52 x 38 x 9 mm with a 21 pin out in a shielded can.
